Having a service appointment with us costs $10. One of our expert piercers will make sure to give you the best fitting jewellery available to help you reach your desired aesthetic. Please note that we only install jewellery purchased from our studio for quality assurance purposes.

When pierced with a stud or barbell, your piercer will use jewellery long enough to safely allow for swelling/inflammation. After some time (it varies per person/piercing location) it is important to  "downsize" your piercing jewellery- essentially just buying a new internal component/labret stud/ bar so that the jewellery stays well fitting/ less likely to move around and become irritated or get caught on clothing etc- the end/gem/ decoration will stay the same- unless you choose to purchase something different. Your piercer will give you a time frame in which to return for this service, providing that the piercing was made in our studio the service for this is free of charge.

Piercing guidelines and time frames for downsizing may vary, people heal at different rates. If you enter your downsize appointment and your piercer best recommends that you wait- it is because the area is still a little "puffy" and some of the initial swelling is yet to dissipate- to downsize these piercings would be problematic and likely lead to further issues including the risk of imbedding- which no one wants! It is still beneficial to come in at this stage so that we can do an in depth check up, worst case scenario is that you are asked to return in a few weeks to try again for said downsize. That being said in most cases we can do the downsize comfortably, Once the piercing is FULLY healed some people choose to go even shorter in their piercing post/bar length or even switch to ring but again this varies per person.
