Your lip or vertical lip piercing is a popular body modification form that offers a variety of options for personalization. One of our experienced piercers will carefully puncture the skin or tissue in your preferred placement to meet your aesthetic goals. Choose from these common placements, or talk with our experts to discuss the placement that’s right for you!

  1. Labret Piercing: Placed at the center of the lower lip or chin, typically perpendicular to the tissue.
  2. Monroe Piercing: Meant to mimic the appearance of a beauty mark, a Monroe piercing is positioned off-center on the upper lip.
  3. Medusa Piercing: This piercing option is located at the indentation above the center of the upper lip, formally referred to as the philtrum.
  4. Snake Bites: A bold choice that pairs to piercings, each place symmetrically on either  
Cost

The service cost for a lip or vertical lip piercing is $50. In terms of jewelry, options start at $55 for a classic titanium curved barbell. Please be aware that prices will vary depending on the jewelry selections available at the time of your piercing. 

Healing

Individual healing times may vary, but the healing process typically takes about 6–8 weeks. Aftercare is crucial—our expert team recommends rinsing the piercing with saline solution or alcohol-free mouthwash twice daily, avoiding trauma or pressure to the area, and refraining from touching or rotating the jewelry unnecessarily. Some mild swelling, redness, and tenderness are normal during the initial healing period.
