Healing

Snug piercings heal slowly – expect nine to twelve months minimum, sometimes longer. The anti-helix is dense cartilage, so swelling and tenderness in the first few weeks are completely normal. Irritation bumps can appear if the piercing is snagged or slept on. Changing jewelry before the piercing is fully healed is one of the most common reasons snugs fail. Stay consistent with aftercare, leave the jewelry alone, and let your body do the work.

Placement

A snug piercing passes horizontally through the inner anti-helix cartilage, and that cartilage needs to be pronounced enough to hold jewelry safely. Flat or shallow anatomy simply won't support the placement. Aftercare

Aftercare isn't complicated, but it does require consistency. Clean the area once or twice daily with a sterile saline solution, depending on your skin’s needs – no twisting, no touching with unwashed hands, and avoid sleeping directly on it whenever possible to reduce irritation. Avoid submerging it in pools or lakes during the healing window. Skip the harsh products and let your body do its thing. Our team at The FALL will provide you with clear aftercare instructions.
